Partnership Strategy Assessment

Partnership Strategy Assessment

A structured review of your expansion goals, partner criteria, and agreement risks before you commit to a deal.

Format: On-site or video, with follow-up written report Duration: 3–4 weeks Location: Kaohsiung office or client site in Taiwan Pricing: From TWD 180,000 — scoped after initial call

Who this is for

Growing companies preparing to enter a new geography — whether through a distributor, licensing arrangement, or joint venture — and needing an independent view before negotiations begin. Typical clients are mid-market manufacturers, specialty retailers, and B2B service firms with TWD 50M–500M annual revenue.

What you receive

The Partnership Strategy Assessment produces a written report and a two-hour findings session with your leadership team. Deliverables include:

  • Expansion objective map — clarifying what success looks like in the target market within 12–24 months
  • Partner criteria matrix — weighted scoring framework based on channel access, financial stability, cultural fit, and conflict risk
  • Agreement risk register — identifying clauses that commonly cause disputes in your industry (exclusivity, minimum purchases, IP ownership, termination)
  • Recommended next steps — whether to proceed with partner search, restructure an existing LOI, or pause until internal readiness gaps close

What is included

  • Kickoff workshop (half day) with your executive sponsor and business development lead
  • Review of existing partner correspondence, draft agreements, or market research you provide
  • Up to six stakeholder interviews (your team and, where permitted, prospective partners)
  • Final report (typically 25–40 pages) with executive summary

What is excluded

  • Legal drafting of contracts (we coordinate with your counsel)
  • On-the-ground partner sourcing beyond initial screening
  • Ongoing negotiation representation (available as a separate engagement)

Process and timeline

Week 1: Kickoff workshop and document collection.
Weeks 2–3: Interviews, market context research, criteria scoring.
Week 4: Draft report review call, revisions, and final presentation.

Preparation

Bring your current expansion timeline, any draft partner agreements, and a list of internal stakeholders who understand product margins and channel economics. The more candid you are about past partnership failures, the more useful the assessment.

Next step

Schedule a conversation to confirm scope and receive a formal proposal. Most assessments begin within ten business days of signing.
