Our registered business
Coregrid Hub Consulting Co., Ltd. is the official registered name of our firm. We were established in 2018 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, to address a gap we kept seeing: companies with strong products but weak partnership frameworks when entering unfamiliar markets.
How we started
Founder James Chen spent twelve years inside regional distributor negotiations for consumer goods and industrial components. After watching three separate expansion projects stall because of partner misalignment — not product failure — he opened a practice focused solely on partnership strategy rather than general management consulting.
By 2020, the firm had grown to five consultants with backgrounds in law, supply chain, and cross-border retail. We now serve clients from manufacturing, food and beverage, professional services, and specialty retail who are entering Taiwan, Southeast Asia, or adjacent markets.
What we believe
Partnerships succeed when both sides understand revenue mechanics, decision rights, and exit conditions before signing. We do not produce slide decks that sit on shelves. Every engagement ends with documents your team can use: partner shortlists with rationale, term sheets, governance frameworks, or negotiation playbooks.
Our team
- James Chen — Managing Director. Former regional partnerships lead for a Taiwan-listed distributor group.
- Dr. Anita Wu — Senior Advisor, Joint Ventures. Corporate lawyer with fifteen years structuring cross-border entities.
- Kenji Mori — Partner Mapping Specialist. Background in FMCG channel development across Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
- Lydia Hsu — Engagement Manager. Coordinates client workshops, due diligence timelines, and stakeholder interviews.
Working with clients
We take on a limited number of active engagements each quarter so senior consultants stay involved throughout. Most projects combine on-site sessions at our Kaohsiung office with field interviews at partner locations. We work in English and Mandarin and collaborate comfortably with in-house legal and finance teams.
Community and credentials
Coregrid Hub is a member of the Kaohsiung Business Expansion Network and contributes annually to the Taiwan External Trade Development Council’s SME export readiness programme. Our consultants hold certifications from the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply and the International Association of Commercial Contract Managers.
